i’ve always stood by Lyft, just because Uber customer service is such bs. But it made me happy to see Lyft standing up for even the big guys. Because at the end of the day, Uber drivers are people with lives too, lives that we don’t know about. That’s what keeps me from going insane when I’m waiting too long in a line at the store or waiting at a restaurant. I don’t know what these people are going through and why they’re working that job. Nobody deserves the treatment the Uber driver deserved, no matter which company you work for... always treat everyone with kindness and love. I can see where you're coming from on your "be thankful for Joe Manchin" comment, but it's honestly a bad take if you take more time to learn about politics in West Virginia. As a WV native and former constituent of Manchin, he is nearly impossible to replace with a more progressive Democrat. We've threatened him for years with being primaried, but when it comes down to it he knows he's got the support of older WV democrats and that in the general election even the Democrats that despise him will vote for him because it's choosing between him and a conservative monster like Patrick Morrisey. I work Amazon Flex, Uber, Doordash, Postmates... I feel like if folks saw on the regular WHAT delivery/driver personnel dealt with on a daily basis. E'reone would have a $30k GoFundMe... It's just ridiculous that one Uber driver experience (which by the way is indicative of 60% of the rides since January) is highlighted and propped up as an isolated incident with GENEROUS GoFundMe support, when REALITY is what that driver experienced is NORMAL 60% of the time outside California, he had clear audio/video, that's ALL he had more than normal Uber/Instacart/Amazon Flex/Doordash worker who doing their best during Spring Break 2021, while everyone ELSE in the world is exhibiting Pandemic Fatigue and gig workers are walking a fine line between making money and enforcing Health protocols laid out by various Gig companies.

These companies need to do better compensating or at least paying for all damages or charging riders the complete fee. When my guys passenger in the backseat opened her door to oncoming traffic...guess what happened..someone drove past and bent the door. They refused to pay and lyft refused to help. He had to pay a lot of money out of pocket even with insurance. $20 bucks is a slap to the face for what happened to this guy.

WTF is wrong with people? They know they're REQUIRED to wear a mask when they use Uber or Lyft. The pepper spray issue should have been registered as an assault and not having/refusing to wear/snatching off another's mask should be treated as public endangerment. I live in an area where Lyft and Uber are scarce. I often get multiple drivers who will pick up and then drop my ride before I get one who actually shows up because my trips are usually short jaunts to the store or to have lab work done. I'm damned grateful for those drivers who show. Especially with what they're risking these days.

I use Uber and Lyft a lot. It’s extremely easy to not be put in these situations. It’s more work to fight with people then not. the points seems to be since they are "unique" they can be used as digital keys of sorts to certain things that can be resold, but even then its not a great system since rn its way more of a pure novelty then anything else, atleast with bitcoin and other crypto systems they have other uses and values, with NFTs they really dont have anything other then scarcity behind em not to mention the rampant art theft involved and energy cost to keep a constant accesable storage of them

In London a vigil was held for Sarah Everard who was tragically kidnapped murdered, the suspect being a metropolitan police officer. The vigil was peaceful women with flowers yet the police turned it violent, restraining grieving participants. This is a vile miscarriage of justice and anti-freespeech and anti-protest that should never have occurred. As women across the globe continuously suffer sexual harassment and more, there should be global outrage at what has happened. Please cover this to help bring awareness and hopefully help to stop a case like Sarah's ever happening again
